Spectrum Styles is your one-stop shop for socials, info and support for neurodiverse kids, parents and educators

We know that everyone is unique…that’s why we operate with kindness, integrity & respect

How we can help

We understand the gaps that exist in parental and caregiver support: The long wait lists, times between appointments when you need help, ideas, strategies or just general support with facing what the day has thrown at you.

Even more, we understand it’s really hard to pick up the phone and have a conversation, with support phone numbers offered when that just doesn’t work.

We work with you as parents and caregivers to provide the best help we can for your children. We want to help prepare your child for the future that at times seems like it is coming way too fast.

As parents, we understand how daunting things can be to navigate to get the best for your child.

Our support workers and mentors are here to facilitate social interactions and promote skills, providing your children with the support they need to navigate the neurotypical world. A safe, accepting place to put into practise those skills learnt in therapy!

We focus on encouraging friendships and social acceptance with an emphasis on those amazing strengths that your child has. Often there is too much emphasis on the ‘deficits of autism’, but by recognising, applauding and empowering children, we as parents, caregivers, support workers, and mentors can assist all children in building up their self esteem and self worth.

What else?

Parent resources

Sick of travelling for resources, support and assistance? We can help you! 😊 Your child doesn’t even have to attend any sessions at Spectrum Styles.
We will happily print and copy anything you want from our resources packs, lend a book or two from our parent library, provide internet access and parent only sessions to discuss your latest hurdles.

Positive Peers program

Part of our ongoing commitment to mental health and Autism, we have created a Positive Peer Program that promotes talents of Autistic teens. Peers can use their knowledge to assist and support others with their areas of interest.
Know a teen who wants to be a part of this? Please contact us!

School support

Sadly, a very common topic is having issues with schooling. We have relationships with some local schools that want to see your child succeed. We can help you gather and present information to your school to best accommodate your child, and we can also advocate on your behalf or attend meetings with you.

A note from our founder

Welcome!

Sometimes it is just better to sit and talk with someone who understands what each day can be like, empathise with daily challenges and offer a non-judgemental and supportive approach to your own journey.

Spectrum Styles was created to be a place of kindness, connection, support and belonging.

A place where each person can define their own goals, take positive and encouraged steps towards their goals, be supported and celebrated with each achievement, share and connect with others who have lived experience, and of course, be a safe and fun place to belong.

Our Positive Peers Program was developed to celebrate the enthusiasm, knowledge and strengths of Autistic youth. A first step into employment and an opportunity to share their passion and knowledge, grow their skills and be supported, all at the same time! This is an incredibly rewarding program for Spectrum Styles, the teens employed, and the younger generation they mentor and encourage.

Our amazing team at Spectrum Styles are hand picked for their kindness and ability to support your child, teen or family in whatever way you need. We don't shy away from challenges! We provide trauma informed support and practical and knowledgeable strategies for positive outcomes. The team love coming to work and seeing each participant build their self esteem and skills, connect with others and explore options for their future! We hope to see you soon.
